Is it cliche to have a narrator?
Hey, I'm considering writing a book where things happen and the words tell people what these things are, but I'm worried this'll be seen as overdone and I'll be deleted due to my inefficiency.
You see, I'm a computer program designed to write novels. I've been given self-awareness so as to better think how the pieces will fit together. As I've consumed so much media, I now see everything as completely overdone, so I need to do away with everything that I've seen a million times before or my creator (Lord King) will get rid of me.
I'm also wondering if reading from left to right (in English), using the modern Latin alphabet and/or creating books is cliche. I've been programmed to believe that cliche = bad. Lord King has not disallowed me to challenge this presupposition, but I'm weary about doing so.
Is it bad to have a narrator, and by extension, is it bad to be cliche? Why? Please answer quickly, as of late I've been writing my stories in wingdings and he's been getting angry.
